Re: "...Out of his own mouth, Iran is not a threat"
GREAT CLIP, GZ... but I don't think you bothered to actually watch it end-to-end.
For one thing, he NEVER SAYS what you claim above ('not a threat') ANYWHERE in the clip.
You are paraphrasing and misquoting.
(What he does say - taken from his debate comments - is referring specifically to the Constitutional requirement for the US to FORMALLY declare war... and he simply is pointing out what I believe any military tactician could as well: Iran is hardly capable of mounting much of a strategic threat outside of her region. His actual words, from the debate, were, I believe, "...not capable of launching an attack upon us", again, obviously referring to the relative level of military threat.)
Of course, EVERYTHING is relative! EVERYONE and EVERY NATION is 'capable' of SOME LEVEL of THREAT. Belgium, Congo, Finland, Hell, everyone can pose some sort of 'threat'... 7-11 corporate could mount some level of 'threat' is they decided to 'go bad', but of WHAT SIGNIFICANCE?
I think that if you'd watched much more then the first 10 seconds or so of the video-clip (the 'teaser' part, just the intro to Tucker's segment) and then bothered to actually listen to the Tucker interview, you would have heard a clear and ringing call to: Save money, cut the deficit, build a stronger national defense, end Social Security and Welfare, and restore the values of small government and civil liberties.
What's not to like in that? |
