Spot prices are given way too much importance by investors. It's the long term sustainable prices that are important as any BFS will tell you and these gravitate around the marginal cost of production - sometimes called the incentive price.

Unlike stocks the spot market is not future discounting.

Focusing on spot is like recommending shares in Mcdonalds because it's lunchtime.
