Ampex management was distracted and sidetracked for months by MCAM, which was forced on them by ValueVest. As I said in this forum months ago, the MCAM approach, in which they run patents through a computer program and supposedly find infringers, is very dubious. In this instance it proved to be a totally useless excercise.
