All of my quotes are 100% real taken from scholarly history books. But the rightwing wants to rewrite history. For instance they want to re-invent the Vietnam War as a noble war which would have been "won" if only people hadn't protested it. They want to claim Saddam sent hs WMD to Syria or Iran. They want to re-cast the militaristic Reagan as a peacemaker and claim he solved the Cold War by escalating defense budgets. They want to re-make McCarthy into some kind of a patriot when he was an extremist fascist. They avoid Nixon but want to re-cast Clinton into a corrupt failure just because he had sex outside marriage like 80% of all presidents have. And they even want to turn our Founding Fathers into evangelicals or gun nuts, which they were 100% not. Even Lincoln the founder of the GOP was something of an athiest. And so was Goldwater the founder of modern conservatism. Plus, our country was founded on the right to worship any damn thing you please, including nothing at all. SO religions - butt out!

After all, look at the past 2000 years of human history. What institution has caused more wars than any other? Organized religions. Even more than mad kings and tyrants. It's a fact. An recently we found out a large percentage of Batholic priests are gay pedophiles, and we already knew half the televangelists are outright crooks and conmen.

BTW, I am not against organized religion. I am just against religions ruled by prejudiced egotisical political men who claim to speak for God but have no real clue about what God is or isn't. In fact no one knows. That's why they call it "faith". It's faith despite logic and reasoning. It's a huge leap into the unknown.
