In its 3Q07 Service Provider Worldwide VoIP Market Share Report, Synergy Research Group has named Sonus Networks the market share leader in key segments of the IP-voice market.
According to Synergy Research, Sonus’ market leadership position increased on a global basis to 31.4 percent in the high density gateway market. Sonus has also been chosen as the market leader, calculated by revenue, in North America, in Japan and, for the first time, in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Jeremy Duke, president and CEO, Synergy Research Group said that in Q3, Sonus earned a market leadership position in each of its target regions, with particularly strong quarter-over-quarter growth in North America where carriers shifted spending to the back half of the year. Duke further explained that Sonus’ recent focus on EMEA has resulted in the company’s first quarter of market leadership and believes that this is an important milestone for the Company.
