Assuming it arrives in volume next year it is very competitive performance wise with the quad Xeons in HPC and Server apps and from 13% Server MS the only place is up. Phenoms will sell over $200 adding a much needed asp boost to the desktop while tris will hold their prices against Intel duals. Of course it has to arrive in volume and I'm giving AMD the benefit of the doubt here although they have not really deserved that this past year ;-).
