Well I am off as usual to a remote location for the holidays, so must post my 2008 picks early before I lose internet access.

In keeping with the running theme from the past couple years, looked for small caps for which I expect some decent pops, and praying another nbix doesnt strike. I kept some names, dropped some and added a couple new ones to the pot.

acad 15%
arql 10%
arna 20%
cytk 15%
pcop 5%
kerx 10%
snta 10%
mnta 15%

I dropped exel, kosn (holding them in real time) as they just dont seem to go anywhere -- exel makes more pr announcements but darn if anything seems to matter. I also dropped nbix, (actually doubled down in real time) because I dont think the stock will move next year.

I added mtna, snta and kerx. In real time, I am looking for a bit cheaper price for the latter two, and still have a decent size allocation in mnta in the high 5s.

acad, arql, arna, cytk and pcop are hold overs from last year (and holding in real time too). I added to the real time portfolio for arna here. will add more pcop if it trades lower.

Thanks to all who participate again and welcome to any new comers. Gambatte!

Have a great year in this coming year of the rat, and take care.

George
