Paul was actually warning about how Fascism might come ("wrapped in a flag, carrying a cross"). A reasonable person might use that warning by applying a mental filter to all candidates, including Ron Paul. Certainly many (most) other candidates set off the alarm louder than Ron Paul does. When German national socialism rose, it was a patriotic movement in a 95% Catholic country. More to the point would be to reflect on what has happened, and what might happen, to move the US in a fascist direction. The main issue is not who the candidate might be, but what fascist state they might advance. Huckabee is not the only threat, nor is he in the only party making the threat.
