Well, I use shorting so if you can do that you can make money on both sides. I am thinking about a list for the start of the year on the long side for a trade, having been at this for a long time I have seen that there is often a nice pop in really beaten up issues after tax selling ends. Issues like LOW, HD, TWX, etc. Don't know about the banks, although they are tempting. Perhaps the Chinese and Middle Easterners will end up owning overpriced assets just like the Japanese did when they were buying up Rockefeller Center and Pebble Beach <ggg> We shall see.
