Another nail beaten all about the head and driven into submission. <g> No doubt you are correct. Such capacity for acts of faith in the most dire circumstances may well be the only reason humanity's been able to "progress" beyond mere "cave" dwelling. I don't know, but I understand what you... and Dylan... are saying. Unfortunately my wiring just doesn't allow me to feel that way. It saddens me to the very bone that so many things in our political/social/economic environment, e.g. the routine marketing of fictitious securities and contracts... to name but one... apparently isn't "dire" enough to spur immediate, effective, reform. Forget issues of amnesty, punishment and recovery of damages... None of those things is enough even if you could obtain them. What's needed is a way of preventing the same thing from happening again and again and again every time another "brilliant" mind comes up with a new derivative on the old *Free Lunch* theme... and then rushes out to "sell" it... everywhere. I'm still looking... I suppose that's why I asked my initial questions... But to date I've only found one solution and frankly it's so "dire" that only a bona fide cave dweller could appreciate it. And Homeland Security... if not my armed neighbors... would put me on their "wanted" lists if I were to mention it. <ack> So... these days I find my faith pretty much limited to the arrival of the next evolutionary "event." Which... I trust... will eliminate every one's "need" to maximize sales. <vbg> 0\|0
