Beware: While Naxos may be purchasing patent rights, the patents are only as good as they are written and enforced. Many a technical theft has occurred in industry, both legally and lawlessly. Sometimes slight deviations in science methodology which can bypass patent coverage can teach torturous lessons to the patent estate owners. Many a business have come and gone this way.
Let's hope that Johnson and Lett did a good job here.

On the other hand, if Franklin Lake has the goods, who cares what process is used to recover the PM's. Maybe we waste a few million on Johnson and Lett, but in the long term, does it really matter? As long as we get going with demonstrating economic viability, (hopefully before the other desert dirts do in order to capture the best financing deal) , we will all do well.
