Truthseeker is coyly baiting you something fierce and it appears you're just not seeing it.

There are two bans involved here. The ban from this thread and the ban from this site.

Jeff reports that Tony asked that Patch be banned from this thread, presumably by emailing the moderator. I have no way of independently confirming this, but I've never known Jeff to say anything he wasn't certain was true. So unless Jeff says otherwise, I'll consider it more likely true than not.

SI itself banned Patch from the site, and there was NO external influence on that decision, as is true of all such decisions. To my knowledge, nobody asked that he be banned and though those kinds of requests are frequently made, all they accomplish is getting Dave to look at an account. The request itself is never part of the resulting decision no matter who might make the request.
