I had a yellow lab that I had to put down at about 12. I still get teary eyed thinking of that dog. We spent many, many hours together hunting and he was a wonderful dog. Obeyed hand signals and whistle signals, great nose and incredible drive to retrieve. There will never be another. I had 2 dogs after that but it just was never the same. Haven't duck hunted for about 10 years now as I just lost interest without Yeller.
