Why do rightwingers fear colleges and reporters? It's pretty obvious why. The rightwing is trying to re-write history and substitute myths and propaganda for truth, fact and real history. So of course they fear young people actually being taught real history, or science, and they are terrified of investigative reporters which the Founding Fathers said were absolutely necessary to a strong democracy. Here are a few nonsensical ridiculous whoppers the rightwing wants people to believe: Reagan defeated the Soviets The Vietnam War was a noble cause lost by war protesters Tax cuts for the rich have created more revenues not huge deficits McCarthy persecuted only "real communists". The Kennedys backed McCarthy The leftwing murdered the Kennedys and ML King Clinton blew it against Al Qaida and Bush succeeded There's hardly a glimmer of truth in any of the above. At best a few of them are 10% true. So why does the rightwing want us to believ this crap? Because without it their entire myth collapses. As it should.
