Sometimes peculiar behavior during expiration week has a natural
explanation - the futures buying is simply driven by rapid
de-hedging of expiring OOM puts, which is exactly why the NAS
shot up a lot more than the DOW and SP. Note that this force
usually reverses post-expiration, sometimes rather dramatically. -g-
I think I said rally for 3 days, but this one was very late
and mischievous for some reason. -g- There are, of course,
other forces at work as well. I think it was a "save".
