Antidepressants treat the symptoms of depression and they are supposed to be used until the depression runs its natural course which is somewhere around 6-12 months. Then why are people on these drugs for years and years? True depression by definition does not go on indefinitely.

Many people are just taking drugs to counteract the side effects of the other drugs they are taking. According to the drug companies the only diseases that are important are those that they have a drug treatment on patent. Is "restless leg syndrome" really a disease?
