Gov. Sarah Palin’s administration is still studying the natural gas pipeline applications received under the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act and won’t finish its review until some time after Jan. 1.

Palin and her gas line team had hoped to gather any additional information from applicants and make the applications public within two to three weeks after the Nov. 30 deadline. But the state received more applications than it expected and had to request additional information from each of the applicants, according to Joe Balash, a special assistant to the governor.
