>>What I want to know is how come this stock seems to be going up with no news posted what so ever....nothing driving this stock except hype? Anyone know? Please explain?<<

How about a few guesses?

But before I do that I have to second Dale's response to your post # 4137 which stated: >>OK, so you are saying that I should SHORT the stock, how do I do that,, explain to me what I do when I want to get the moola on the downside...<<

If I read that right - you're saying you're a novice - If that's true, you may be in over your head (IMHO). If you listen to everyone who posts on these threads you may as well give your investing money to your favorite charity.

I feel a little qualified to encourage you to be careful since we're rapidly approaching my 10th anniversary of losing in excess of $1 million over the period of a few days (margin calls didn't happen all at once). It goes easier than it comes. I'd strongly suggest that you invest in things you know about and that you find a safe and conservative technique which you're comfortable with. If you are infact a novice you should be hanging out on threads like value investing, and super stocks. Read the books the posters to those threads recommend and study them well before investing.

Now for my guesses:

In post #4110 Michael posted a URL to a story about Syquest news.com

The story mentions things which appear to be very positive. The last line of the story reads: "But the company this week has been meeting with Wall Street....."

Until now SYQT hasn't been followed by Wall Street but it appears their presentation was favorably received. If fund managers like SYQT's story who knows how far they'll drive it up.

I'm sure that the IOM'ers will bust a vein when I compare IOM to SYQT but a few years ago when IOM started turning it around the stock made some pretty violent moves (up and down). There used to be a chronology of IOM's 'growing pains' on the Motley Fools board. Very interesting.
