Dear G T
Wow, touched a nerve here, no offense intended, I assure you. I was referring to the charges of Americans being obese, I didn't single out women, you did.

You might be right about the trans- fats.

The context of my argument was that well fed people tend to be heavier and as the USA is the leader in the information age, Americans have much less physical activity than say a farm worker cutting sugar cane with a machete 12 hours a day. I would also argue against this being an American problem, I have seen lots of obese Brits, Germans and other Europeans. In the Caribbean islands, S. America and parts of Asia (Japan comes to mind) fat is
a plus to many mate seekers of both sexes, much like white skin it tends to indicate affluence.

As to my own details, I can say that I lucky to be in normal BMI range for my age with little body fat but I am careful what I eat and I exercise regularly.

regards,

Ray
