Again, based on what? There are over 300 countries on this planet. And there are a variety of systems out there. Now, you are assuming there is a set of services that is less than the US offers, but more than a third world or developing country, that still results in a first world performance.

There isn't any evidence that is true. You can see the same in this country. There seems to be a relationship between taxes and wealth. The poorer the state, the lower the tax burden. And vice versa. Are there any high tax, poor states? I suppose Michigan might be, the collapse of the American auto industry has certainly changed things there. But...
