Response to John's post ( Message 24159500 ) on Cisco thread: I see all the major Japanese car companies either starting or partnering with large format lithium ion car batteries in order to corner the market on patents on the next generation of car technology (Mitsubishi, Toyota, Nissan...they are all going for the gold). I see European countries locking in technology leads, upgrading their electrical power sources with large scale PV arrays, and taxing gasoline. I see countries across the globe making a transition to transportation that is non-carbon based and instituting legislation to curb CO2 emissions. And lastly, I see the United States doing nothing, because our President is too busy pushing creationism in Texas and spending hundreds of billions in Iraq to notice that our country is going down the toilet and missing out on a new industry in the making, based on green technologies. More people need to take their blinders off and start looking around. What do you think Americans see, John? Is it sand, because their heads are buried in it?
