I'd be willing to have corporations sacrifice a little to accomplish less polluting of MY planet.... You speak as if corporations inhabited some other global economy, not the one you share in. If they are burdened with huge unproductive costs to reduce emission of co2, their pain will soon be yours as unemployment rises. The proper way to look at is in cost-benefit terms. Bjorn Lomberg (who does not btw quarrel with the basic GW thesis) does use his training as an economist to point out that Kyoto amounts to paying millions in premiums for an insurance policy that will pay out only thousands in benefits, if it even pays out at all. Google him and look at his work.
