A Christmas mission by our brothers in the Air Commando Association (ACA). John Grove, the prime organizer, is a friend of mine. John is an extraordinary activist. During a visit a few years ago to speak at their annual ACA Convention and thank them, John gave me a tour of their many warehouses near Hulbert Field. It is absolutely incredible how much good stuff they collect around the country and transport to needy folks world-wide, and I do mean world-wide. John told me some years ACA distributes $25 million in donations. During the 2002-03 Montagnard resettlement, they delivered at least 10 loads to Greensboro to support the Green Beret Warehouse, SFA Chapter 57 set up. Several loads were 50+ foot moving vans packed wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling with items we needed to furnish 100 apartments for 5th SFGA Montagnards. John drove some loads to Greensboro himself. He wanted to come to assess our needs and plan the next loads. community.emeraldcoast.com
