No one mentioned here that bankrupt Movie Gallery discontinued its MovieBeam service December 15. It was originally funded by Disney and co-funded by Cisco and Intel and others for about $70 million. dmwmedia.com Disney shut the service down in 2005, but it was re-launched in February 2006 with over $50 million in venture capital from Mayfield Fund, Norwest Venture Partners, Cisco, Intel, Vantage Point Venture Partners and Disney's ABC.
