Given that you think a greenhouse is heated by modulated convection, how the hell are you going to understand anything else.

He didn't say that, you are putting words in his mouth. You did not get the difference. Nor the fact that the so called green house gas is not a direct greenhouse effect, that is there with any gas, any planet with any atmosphere will have the greenhouse effect to one degree or another. That is the gas is not stopping convection. I may be putting words in his mouth as well so I will say no more.
