Peter - I've been a full time trader making my living off the markets for 12 years now. I started trading right after college in the 1970's worked in the computer industry as a software engineer till I could save up enough capital to give it a try full time, and have been at it ever since. As far as information on companies, I read a couple hours a day to stay up on trends in companies I'm interested in, but painful experience has made me quite the pessimist in regard to just about all TV talking heads, so I use software and my experience to actually enter/exit trades, which for the most part are very short term. I do trade tech a lot, and my background helps me understand whats going on in that arena... John
