"Pumping yourself up under an alias to sell a rag is deceptive."

Silly! The regulars knew who he was (as YOU have pointed out!) and people who didn't know who he was had no reason to give his opinion any more weight than anyone else.

"Pumping a stock under an alias after luring people to the site discussing the stock by your touting it on the radio and on TV is deceptive."

Sorry, I just don't see what the crime is there. By posting under an alias instead of his real name, he DIMINISHED his influence, because he became just one more anonymous voice out of thousands.

I also haven't seen any evidence that he didn't sincerely believe the stock was a good investment.

"Giving your fawning suckup praise to the guy under his alias who is using it to sell newsletters on a public bulletin board in your desperate attempt at getting the guy's attention aids the deception."

What deception? The regulars knew who he was (as YOU have pointed out!) and people who didn't know who he was had no reason to give his opinion any more weight than anyone else.

I paid him a complement. What's the jail term for that?

"Now when I start selling a newsletter and posting about myself in the third person and forming a cult of idiots on the net to provide alibis and take on my critics ....you might have a point."

If posting under an alias had INCREASED Brinker's influence over the message board instead of DECREASING it...you might have a point!

BTW, the "cult" formed on its own. Brinker didn't even join SI until the original Brinker thread had been going for six months.

"In addition it was you who changed your handle to hide your true identity subsequent to that brown nosing post."

Still posting guesses as facts? For shame!
