Are the equity markets at risk to the whim of those who would game the system for their own benefit? Does the lack of resources of government regulators to out scams justify a "game" whereby vigilantes act to counter scams with their own scams? Do MM's abuse their exception and line their own pockets or those of clients upon payment of very high fees? Should markets be brought into the 21st century with software and systems replacing archaic MM and specialists? Should hedge funds be efficiently regulated? Patch has created a new term "legion of thieves." Is there a "legion of thieves" that remains on the message boards and hidden blogs? Does that legion conspire to attack posters who merely post opinions with respect to a stock? Does this legion work with hedge funds. Does it "leak" and trade with "associates?" Does it work with class action attorneys and some who profess to be traditional business reporters as part of a scheme to manipulate? All interesting questions. Happy 2008 to all. thesanitycheck.com
