Hi Joan - Listened to the conference call and as previously stated there were no surprises (either good or bad). The purpose of the call was to prevent any confusion from arising from the press release. Seemed like they (ORCL) just wanted to play it safe (OK with me). Bottom line (net earnings) would not be affected - analyst's models could stay intact. Some of the highlights:

1) This was not technically a "restatement of earnings". ORCL pointed out that they were not obligated (required) to do this - it just made better business sense for the future.

2) Only 3 or 4 questions from analysts. Initial question led off with "this news doesn't bother me at all" (paraphrased). Went on to ask how was the business going. ORCL reiterated what was stated at the analyst's day a couple of weeks ago (Very good news from Larry E. concerning growth over the next few quarters). Would not comment any further though.

Good Luck,

Tony D.

BTW, picked up some more ORCL on today's dip. Have you gotten any feedback from your ML analyst lately?
