Rio Nevada Mines was listed on Aug 19, 1996. On Aug 21,1996, Rio Nevada announced that it was acquiring a 25% working interest in an 11,500-acre Fort a la Corne property from Firebrand Energy Corporation. That acquisition was completed in November 1996, Shore Gold being the owner of the other 75% and the operator:
