Carranza: Nice to see Cellar Tracker is still in action. Will have to start reading it again. I had a pretty good California cab on Christmas Day. 20 Rows, 2001. Pretty close to the price requirement here. Tannins had softened somewhat and it was good with my rib roast which I applied a garlic, pepper, fresh herb paste to create a crust so I felt I needed the cabernet I'm loving my booze supermarket: Total Wine and More. They buy many wines direct so you can get some really small vineyards at super prices. I've been pouring a really cheap French sparkling wine that I buy at $8.99 or $8 by the case: St. Germain Blanc de Blancs. Very much like Moet's White Star only you get 4 bottles for the price of one. Having Perrier Jouet for New Years dinner. $30 at Costco. Pretty good price for a leading Champagne house. Have the Moet Rose and the Moet demi for other courses. All champagne evening. Salud to all. MP
