according to you the rot is ethnic, wired in, systemic, and whatever, if i recall.

You have very selective recall.

ethnic . . . . Nothing at all wrong with Chinese brains.

wired in, systemic . . . . When the people who benefit from corruption are at the top, or near the top, and nothing is done, yes, that's the definition of wired in and systemic.

The interesting thing is that, despite your protestations that nothing is wrong and it's all our fault, intelligent Chinese appear to have taken notice of the angry outcries of shafted consumers and are at least making some efforts to redress the worst abuses.

as opposed to you assisting and abetting dead beatism, meaning fraud and theft, and confiscation, and big bro watching over things and re-doing deals done by willing private parties?

It's called consumer protection. You believe in ripping off the suckers, I believe in stopping rip-offs.

I wish I still had the link to your post about how much fun it was to fleece suckers coming and going, people excited about investing in China, almost drunk with anticipation, and then distraught about losses and staggering, pale faced and shaky. But that was years ago.

I think you may have a new gig now.
