I've been hearing more and more circumstantial evidence that we are in a recession. At a Christmas Eve party all people could talk about was how bad business was. A car dealer told me he was off 40% this month, a health insurance broker told me people were canceling their policies, another guy told me business was terrible (can't remember the business). Just came back from Home Depot and the department manager was saying they were way off, and they were doing good compared to other stores. That people were just really cautious and afraid to spend money on big ticket items. Maybe this is localized to Florida... maybe not.
