The GOP congressmen and senators are blocking everything using filibusters reuiring 60 votes to overcome, then Bush is vetoing everything else. Trent Lott admitted this. Their goal is to make sure democrats don't get anything passed, even the most important changes the US public desperately wants. That way the GOP can try to blame democrats for "doing nothing". It is a dirty trick and very bad for the country. But the GOP is all about partisan political tricks these days and has been for many years. They don't give a damn about us or our country, just themselves.
