I must be channeling you (or the reverse), for these would be my predictions as well.

Only changes in an otter's list:

9. The "terror event" becomes *the* decisive element in US election. Look for plenty of xenophobia, particularly if the perps came across the Mexican or Canadian border.

10. USD continues downward trend, especially against Asian currencies. Look for 30% spike of yen and RMB against the USD. (Sorry. I know something about girl's soccer, but nothing about football).
