James,

I suspect not everbody is aware of Intel losing the lawsuit.
It has even been suggested that this was an Intel marketing
move to get rid of older inventory. The $50 rebate coupon is
available only for p120/133 users who choose to upgrade and
bup the "OverDrive". I'm still trying to verify this by
writing the lawyer. In any case, strategic marketing move or
not, I think it damaged Intel's benchmark reputation and will
hurt them in the FTC investigations under the category of
"unfair trade practice".

Here a link to the story & link to the settlement if you have
further questions.
