hello bidu believers, very sad news to wake up with this sunday morning, to learn of the untimely death of baidu's cfo during the christmas holidays somewhere in china. i am certain that this is far more shocking to baidu and wang's family and friends. wang has been instrumental in bringing the stock bidu to us here in the us and for that many of us have prospered. wang's style and great communicational skills were evident in many of the quarterly conference calls we heard through the last 2 years. his english was clear, precise, and got the message to the many bidu believers here in the forum. i and many others here will miss him. while we do not know what happened to shawn, it is more important to focus on what the man helped achieved for baidu since 2004. he helped made it an international powerhouse in the area of internet commerce. bidu will suffer in the short term as it look to replace the cfo position and cope with this sudden death of a colleague. let us remember just how fragile life is in the meantime and pray for shawn and his family. paul
