If you look at things this way, a new pakistan headed by sharif might not be all that different from where turkey is and to where iran might end up. For me to buy into this the most eggregious acts by islamists (not only use of terror) in human rights--civil womens etc must be abandoned. Burkas must go if not today, tomorrow. Can only compromise so much but it has worked with turkey and iran is far more progressive on women than saudi.
