"Hell, I play golf with people on 100% physical disability benefits from their union jobs. i had a driver claim workmen's comp six months after he says he hurt his back on the job. no indication he ever reported it however the dispatcher says he could have and i forgot. dispatcher were from the ranks or friends of the drivers so they take a middle attitude to survive. I find out he really hurt his back moving furniture the day before helping his neighbor move. i refuse workmen's comp. i take it to court since the union will not let it go. My legal counsel tells me i will lose this one and do not bother just pay him. I am new and figure no, right is right,,, wrong. i go to court to observe. the judge comes out of chamber , my first time in court.. they bring court to order and we are first case up. we have hired local lawyer to represent us.. the judge says to local lawyer,, what is this, big oil company picking on Jim, he is a great and honorable guy. Judge is his next door neighbor. Case not even heard , dismissed, Jim gets workmen's comp i am laughing stock to even try to fool with locals.
