I have no argument with Peak Oil or that my neighbor to the north is not stable. I do wonder, though, how a process that requires, say 1.5 bbls of oil to extract 1 bbl of oil is going to fly.

Now, if they get that EROI (which I just picked, but I know it is not currently a sensible process) down to .75, say, that would be a possibility.

Unfortunately, from what I read, tapping oil sands is akin to strip mining and is an environmental nightmare.
