The best book I have ever seen on this subject is "The Rich and Superrich" by F. Lundberg. He comments that Joe6Pack ends his life as he started it, with no net worth. The superrich gather in their clubs, decide on the suitable new ways to deceive the masses, notify the media etc. The Democratic party will not get the US out of the Middle East. The people that matter have decided, in their clubs, that the US should stay there. Nothing to do with oil, of course.
