Too much of a big deal being made out of the news. If the yahoo
story is accurate, Intel realized the mistake and issued a correction.
The class action lawsuit FOLLOWED, issue was settled out of court and the judge accepted the settlement.

Nowhere does it say that Intel intentionally lied, or disputed allegations. All the plaintiff's lawyer had to say was that "The benefits of Intel's disclosures about its benchmarking practices will benefit all computer purchasers"

The news ofcourse is buzz in the AMD thread - a diversion for the poor souls licking their wounds after being misled yet another quarter by the great hype.
