Good post M, but (LOL) ... I think you make a little too light of the increasing energy demand which still requires lots of oil/ng/coal and place a little too much importance on alternatives... just yet... To me they are muting demand growth but that is not the same as replacing it, yet, which is required to drop oil price significantly. Oil requirements relative to economic activity will continue to decrease though I agree.. We won't be seeing the dark ages because of oil depletion IMO...
