"choke points" The choke points are not necessarily caused by regulation. They are a natural event in the division of labor. At some point in almost any process there is a critical task. The task throttles all other tasks, but that doesn't mean it is more important or difficult, it just happens to be at the intersection of other tasks and cannot be performed in parallel. Anyone who can "own" one of these critical tasks is in a position to extract more benefit. Inherent in capitalism is the notion that each individual try to extract all he can from the task, and not all that is fair or reasonable. TP
