Now that Brcm has shot it's last bullet and Qual. has announced the UMTS workaround and the workarounds for evdo, where does Brcm go from here?

There will be a settlement eventually. The only question is the terms and the timing.

As MQ stated the bar has been set for the pricing of chipsets that the EU will take into account when hearing the POS 6 complaint.

There is nothing precedent setting in this decision, and it isnt going to impact the EU. Broadcom has no obligation to license these patents versus Q's agreement to FRAND. It sucks, but that is the price you pay to participate in standards organisations.
