I don't have a good pulse on what's going on in the south beyond Obama supporters on the blogs.. AS made it clear to me last night that her resistance to Obama's candidacy was a racist one..yet has come here posting all these other electibility issues. I have no patience with someone who is dishonest like this on a Barack Obama thread..she came here with the cloak of impartiality covering deep seated racism.. It's very hard in our PC society to be honest publicly..I was immediately slammed here several months ago by a drive-by poster when I said that I'm not ready for a female/Black candidate ticket.. I say this because I know the reality that perfectly good and honest people feel uncomfortable with a Black man in the Oval office..my father was one of them.(he died recently)..he was not a loonie KKK or any of those aweful stereotypes that closed minded liberals want to attach to folk of this opinion...What an amazing thing it would be if we felt comfortable stating such views? What kinds of fears based on irrationalities like her assertion last night could be diffused? Today, on the eve of the Iowa caucus, Obama has 480K donors from all over the country..he's tied with the first lady who's been a household name for 16 years, with Edwards whose been in Iowa since 2003. The population of Iowa is 98% White..he's got an office open in Boise, Idaho, Anchorage, Alaska, 24 thousand people showed up for him in Hillary's back yard...there's something going on here that has snuck up on the MSM and the "white boy network" both in conservative and liberal circles..but it's something completely natural for those of us who are listening to the message that resonates with what the country needs right now...imo..
