Albert: A portion of the article was posted on the other AMD thread. Here are some excerpts from the article: 1. Jerry will be the keynote speaker at the Micro-p forum next week and he will discuss the significance of having alternative x86 cpu suppliers. 2. It mentions that AMD k6-266 matches the performance of Intel's best Pentium II CPU. 3. AMD will disclose the extensive plans that it has under way to improve on the K6. There is a great development life still left in the K6. 4. The deal with Compaq is very real. Compaq is very interested in the K6 for its lower price PCs, however, has conditioned the signing of the agreement on AMD's ability to deliver at least 250,000 unit per quarter. 5. AMD has world class CPU designers. 6. This is the golden opportunity for AMD to take market share away from Intel and if it does not solve its production problems, it will have no one to blame but itself. Regards, Sean
