Anandtech also tested Unreal Tournament 3, along with a bunch of other gaming benchmarks, and they found Phenom unable to touch even a modestly clocked Yorkfield.

And if you compare available chip to available chip, the Q6700 beats the 9600 in every single benchmark.

Well, shoot. If I sunk a bunch of money into AMD's promises and bought a bunch of Barcelona infrastructure, I'd probably go through with the deal, too. Of course, I'd kick myself for trusting AMD's lies and vow never to buy from them again.

Note the situation is even more pathetic in 3D rendering apps - a good proxy for your so-called HPC dominance.
