Bill,

I haven't checked the thread, but I told of this by someone today, although he wasn't sure if it was Woolworth or another company possibly interested in TSA. These are just rumors at this time, and we know how often rumors come up without any later substantiation. Nevertheless, interesting and worthy of following. With consolidation in this industry anticipated, it would make for a rather unusual scenario to see the market leader get engulfed. Even though JSI looks to be on track for turning things around, starting in this qtr, and plans to start opening up new stores in '98, a TSA takeover wouldn't sound like good news to them, as far as I can tell, possibly leaving them out to dry. However, if they are starting to turn things around, all should work out just fine in the wash. The last 2 times I have been to the Ft. Lauderdale store they have been generally busy with much better inventory than had been for a while in the past. Even starting to sell some of that JSI black, purple, and green merchandise to generally match the sign...mugs, towels, etc. Any TSA moves will have to be quickly followed up by other companies in this industry seeking out relationships of their own, imo...necessary evil for survival.

Hope all is well......good finish by the Marlins.

Marshall
