" If they pay for themselves in 10 years you would be crazy not to..." Most businesses use 18 months payback as standard to judge by. That is not say that taking over 18 months to return the cost of the investment is an absolute bar to making it, but to say that anything under that is a slam dunk. If you were to make an investment like that with a 120 month payback I would view you as egalitarian and be appreciative. In my climate photovoltaic cell technology is not a wise investment at current energy prices.
